Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 2026
Welcome to the village, fellow Ewok fan! These guidelines exist to keep Ewoks.com a safe, welcoming, and joyful gathering place — much like the tree villages of Endor, but with better Wi-Fi. By joining our community, you agree to follow the Code of the Forest outlined below.
1. The Golden Log — Be Kind
Treat every member of the village the way Chief Chirpa would want you to: with respect and dignity. We are a community united by our love of Ewoks. Disagreements happen — even Wicket and Teebo butted heads sometimes — but personal attacks, insults, and harassment have no place here.
- No bullying, name-calling, or targeted harassment
- No discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or species preference
- Constructive criticism is welcome; cruelty is not
2. No Imperial Propaganda
Content that promotes hate, violence, extremism, or illegal activity is strictly forbidden. Think of it this way: if it would make an Imperial officer proud, it doesn't belong here.
- No hate speech or content promoting violence against any group
- No glorification of real-world violence or terrorism
- No content that is illegal under applicable law
3. Keep It Forest-Friendly
Ewoks.com is open to fans of all ages. Please keep content appropriate for a general audience. The Ewoks celebrated their victories clothed (mostly in hoods), and we expect similar modesty.
- No explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content
- No excessively graphic or gory imagery
- Fan art and cosplay should be tasteful and family-friendly
- Mild language is tolerated; excessive profanity is not
4. Respect the Village Boundaries
Each Village on Ewoks.com has its own culture and focus. Post content in the appropriate Village and respect each Village's specific norms. Don't wander into the Bright Tree Archives to post memes — that's what other Villages are for.
- Stay on topic within each Village
- Follow any additional rules set by Village leaders
- Cross-posting the same content to multiple Villages is discouraged
5. No Trap-Setting — Spam & Manipulation
Ewoks are famous for their clever traps, but our community is not the place for them. Do not attempt to deceive, scam, or manipulate fellow members.
- No spam, unsolicited advertising, or self-promotion without context
- No phishing, scam links, or malicious content
- No impersonation of other members, moderators, or the Council of Elders
- No manipulation of likes, follows, or engagement metrics
6. Protect the Tribe — Privacy
What happens in the tree-hut stays in the tree-hut. Do not share other members' personal information without their explicit consent.
- No doxxing or sharing private information (real names, addresses, etc.)
- No sharing of private conversations without consent
- Respect members who wish to remain anonymous
7. Honor the Creators
Our community thrives on creativity. Respect the work of others — both professional creators and fellow fans.
- Credit original artists and creators when sharing their work
- Do not claim others' fan art, stories, or creations as your own
- Respect copyright — do not share pirated content
8. The Council's Judgment
Our moderators (the Council of Elders) are here to keep the village safe. Their decisions are made in good faith to protect the community.
- Follow moderator instructions and decisions
- Do not argue publicly with moderation decisions — use the appeals process
- Report violations using the built-in reporting tools
Consequences — The Catapult Protocol
Violations of these guidelines may result in escalating actions, depending on severity:
- Verbal Warning — A friendly nudge from the Council
- Content Removal — Offending posts may be removed
- Temporary Suspension — A cooling-off period away from the village
- Permanent Banishment — Launched from the village via catapult (metaphorically). Reserved for serious or repeated violations
Severe violations (threats, illegal content, doxxing) may result in immediate permanent banishment without prior warnings.
These guidelines may be updated from time to time as our village grows. We will notify members of significant changes. If you have questions, contact the Council of Elders at council@ewoks.com.
Remember: Yub nub means freedom — and freedom comes with responsibility. Let's keep this village a place worth celebrating.
